Ingredients :

Ikai Organic Kumol Rice : 1 cup

Water : to soak

Fresh Cream : ¼ cup

Ikai Organic Jaggery : to taste

Method :

  1. Wash the rice 3-4 times in cold water . Drain off the excess water.
  2. Soak the rice in hot water for 30 mins or till it is soft. ( Press the rice between your thumb and finger to check if done)
  3. Once the rice is soft , it is ready to be served. No cooking is required.
  4. Keep the rice in a serving bowl. Add the fresh cream to it. ( If you don’t like cream add curd).
  5. Add jaggery as per taste. 
  6. Eat it as a breakfast or special meal. 

This is a famous traditional dish from Assam. It is had on special occasions and festivals.
