This rice has been named after its exquisite aroma! Did you know that India has the exclusive right to call this variety of rice 'Basmati'? Basmati rice originated in the warm valleys of the Indo-gangetic plains. There is a lot of debate around its origin. In fact, it is a matter of geopolitics and geo-economics. Conflicts aside, you need to taste our unpolished Organic Basmati Rice to experience its premium quality, Β rich aroma and unique taste.
Basmati rice nutritional values tell us that it is high in fibre, full of complex carbohydrates for sustained energy and low in fats. With a low Glycemic Index, it is an exquisite treat for rice lovers. It is by its nature Gluten-free. The grains of this basmati rice separate on cooking and are soft, long and fluffy. Who said good looking food couldnβt be healthy!
Basmati rice is a good source of energy. It is high in fibre and supports gut health. Naturally gluten-free, it also promotes healthy skin and hair.
How to make basmati rice? Every household has its own method of cooking rice. This Basmati cooks best when soaked in room temperature water for a few hours. Then add rice to boiling water. Add the soaked rice to boiling water and cook until it is about 90% done. Drain the water, cover the rice, and let the remaining 10% cook in steam for 5β10 minutes. This helps achieve separate, fluffy grains. Enjoy with dal, or a spicy curry. PS don't throw the water you cook the rice in, it can be used for various skin care, hair care routines or added to the plants.
