Weakened reproductive health
Exposure to pesticide residues can lead to hormonal imbalances, reduced fertility, irregular cycles and lower overall vitality.
This protein trio consists of Natural Dried White Peas, Natural Papad, and Organic Sattu. White peas can be used to make simple, flavourful curries. In Ayurveda, papad has been mentioned as a digestive. We call it a fun, protein-rich Indian snack. Meanwhile, sattu is one of the oldest instant foods known to man—nutritious, full of protein, and ready in a jiffy.
Before the garden-fresh variety came into vogue in the 17th century, the world consumed peas in dried white or green form. These peas provide plant protein and make a great addition to the pantry. Papad is an ancient way to start a meal with something that provides protein while also acting as an appetiser. It was a way to add nutrition without compromising on taste. Sattu is very versatile. It can be enjoyed as an instant cooling summer drink, or it can be stuffed into paratha or litti.
Rich in protein and fibre, dried white peas support muscle health, promote satiety, help regulate blood sugar, and support heart health. Papad is naturally gluten-free and makes a great snack when you are feeling peckish. Packed with fibre, it also keeps you fuller for longer. Sattu is a natural coolant. It is rich in fibre, keeps the gut happy, and helps maintain blood sugar levels.
Soak the dried peas overnight and then cook them in a pan or pressure cooker until soft. Make delicious ghughni or ragda using dried white peas. Roast the papad instead of frying them to enjoy their health benefits. Make masala papad with chilli and onions, or simply have them plain. Prepare a refreshing and satisfying sattu drink with salt and roasted cumin seeds, and add a dash of lime for extra zing. You can also stuff sattu into parathas or littis.
